To close a company, you need to obtain certificates from both the national and local Tax Administrations. The first certificate confirms there are no outstanding debts to the national Tax Administration as of the issuance date, while the second certificate confirms no outstanding debts for local taxes or environmental tax in the municipality where the company is based. These certificates are required to remove the business from the Register of Business Entities (APR), and they must be no older than five days when submitting the deletion request.

- Entrepreneurs (Sole Proprietors): The process typically takes 10 to 15 days.
- Limited Liability Companies (DOO): The liquidation process takes much longer, usually between 4 and 6 months. By law, a 90-day public notice must be issued for any creditors to claim outstanding debts.
Note: These timeframes only apply if the company has no outstanding debts or unpaid obligations.
